comment (0) haha first of all, happy leap year day...cause it's 29th feb :) anyways today i went for my hike and we started off in school :) lols then we got split up into groups of 12 cause our class had 36 pple cause 2 couldn't walk properly and another 2 didn't come. so then we got our instructor whose named lee zen and we named our group RAWR and then we took the bus to macritchie then we sent representatives to compete by playing ajinomoto and simon says. so then we played and played and finally, wei wei won and we went off, the 4th group, to venture forth! ;D so then we made our way, crossing the bridge, past the first checkpoint and wei wei gave us our aim of reaching the summit of bukit timah hill by 2pm! then i think qian ying came up with the idea of saying good morning to evryone we met on our way so then we did, and they actually responded and with a smile too! save for a few whom we met later on....so rude and unfriendly tsk tsk.... anyway so we basically said good morning or morning in english to whoever we met except qian ying who also spoke in Chinese and a little bit of French------bonjour!!! so we were laughing and talking and then she asked lee zen how to say good morning in Tamil and Malay cause he knew how to speak in Malay, Tamil, Chinese, Chinese dialects and basic Japanese words like Konichiwa etc :D and then he came up with really good accents and we learnt how to say morning or good morning in Tamil and Malay! so we resolved to use our newly learnt words on the first person/ pple we met but the first couple were Caucasian so we didn't use them cause we weren't sure if they would understand :)) then we entered the forest and we walked and walked on really rocky, slippery and leaf covered forest ground and it was really fun cause we sang she'll be coming round the mountain when she comes... led by qian ying ^^ and we sang! haha fun fun fun fun fun :D and then we cheered ourselves on even though our feet were killing us :) and wei wei, qian ying and lee zen were really lame and everyone was laughing! and our only motivation was lunch!!!! i kept drinking water cause i was really tired and cheering!^^ then omg we walked like for forever and then we saw another group ahead, so we ran and then they were so excited and nervous, that they ran in the wrong direction!!!!! so, then we came to the ranger's station or something: i can't remember what it's called and we had to count the steps, there was another group already there, i think the 3rd group, and they all went up, counting the steps along the way as they made their way up. but we were super smart and we sent a few pple up the first flight of steps and then we multiplied it by 7 to get the answer, but our answer was wrong so we just kept on guessing until 118 cause lee zen said that our number was really close and then we went off, leaving the group far far behind!!!!!!!!!! then we saw another group, the first i think, and they were trying to decide which path to take and then they saw us and they were really panicky then we looked at the signs and went the right way, but they followed us phooey, but then anyway, soon enough we came to another point where we had to decide on which path to take, then lee zen told us to "bluff" them, so then we decided on one way, and then while we went on our way, the other group was still there and then we shouted loudly that we "thought we were going the wrong way and that we wanted to turn back" which reallly confused them and i bet they went the wrong way!!!!!!!!! sniggger snigger so then we walked and walked across this narrow bridge thing and we tried to go up which was really difficult but we helped each other up and i'm really glad that they're so concerned!!! and we continued walking on rocky ground, up slopes, down steep slopes and what really boosted our morale was qian ying and wei wei's cheering ^^ and i'm reallllly happy and glad they were there <3 then we walked on and on on roads, across roads and we said good morning to everyone we saw!!!and we were really afraid of the monkeys too! haha :D then we walked on the roads and like there were these black ants with huge red butts and everyone tried to avoid them and we even said good morning and waved whenever a car passed us!!! then we continued walking and our legs were killing us and then we came to this PUB place and then we crosssed this long kang which was slightly dangerous and then our whole group had to squeeze on this tiny thing and got our pics taken!! fun fun fun then we trekked through another part and finally, we cam to the LUNCH RESTING PLACE AND WE WERE SO SUPER DUPER HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!^^ :D:D:D and we were THE FIRST ONES TO ARRIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we ate lunch which was really yummy and then the second group arrived and then we set off and the other group tried to make us confused by telling us that we were going the wrong way!!!! but we weren't falling for it!! so we walked on and then we reached bukit timah nature reserve!!!!! then we went for toilet break and then we climbed up the hill and omg we felt like dying! luckily, there were pple behind to support us, by then qian ying was really tired so i pushed her up and then at the 1/3 mark, we plonked down on the road and completed another activity then we made our way up and came to the steps then if we were really tired, we could climb 5 steps then count 1 mississipi 2 mississipi and so on until 5 and we REACHED THE TOP!!!!!!! FIRST ALL THE WAY EXCEPT THE START!!! GO RAWR RAWR, GO RAWR!!!!!!!! and then lee zen told us that we were the fastest team to arrive amongst all the sec 2s and before our goal of reaching there by two at that (we reached there at 1.54pm) !!! YEAH!!! then we sat down and played sub-arctic in which we had to imagine that 12 of us survived a plane crash but landed up in the arctic at the site of the plane crash and we were given a list of items and we were to rank them according to the priority we thought each item deserved individually then we did this as a team and then we counted our points and we found out that if the score was under 20, we would have died and most of us did, i for 1, had 28!!! but as a team, we got 9!!! and we were told that we were the first team to actually survive!!!!!! whooo hoooo!!!!!!!! anyway, we took a team pic and a class pic at the summit and then we had lots of fun talking and laughing as we made our way down!!!! we wanted to roll down and mr j was being really lame so yeah, it was fun fun fun!!! then we reached the bus and went off to school and then we climed to the 3rd level and talked abt today and filled in a survey and something on our thoughts!!! overall, today was wonderful and i would like to thank everyone who made this posssible especially our group...including lee zen :D so THANKS!!! |
